Our thought

I want to move even slightly faster.
I want to become able to use the bigger energy.
I want to make it the better earth for the future.
The technique of the superconductivity can solve a dream of such human.

The high temperature superconducting material discovered in 1986 is used now in various fields and comes to be useful for the life of people.
A railroad, a plane, a ship and a car technology be able to change by a superconducting technology more. The superconductivity technology can make big energy, carbon dioxide does not generate.  And supply of the eco-friendly energy is enabled in the field of the electricity to use in our normal life.

Excellent engineers of SuperOx Japan always keep careful manufacturing in mind with challenge mind for various needs of the customer.

Origin of the company name

The origin of the company name "SuperOx" is a combination of the words "Superconductivity" and "Oxide", and it is a symbolic name that fuses physics and chemistry, which are the basis of our business.
In 2006, researchers who were engaged in superconducting research at the Moscow State University of Lomonosov and continued to work in Moscow after the dismantling of the former Soviet Union established "SuperOx" in Moscow, a company specializing in superconducting materials.
After that, it was established in 2011 as a limited liability company "SuperOx Japan" for the Japanese market, whose main business is research and development of superconducting wires and manufacture of pilot-scale superconducting wires.

CEO Greeting Sergey Lee

SuperOx Japan LLC was established in 2011 as the R&D Company. Its major activity is focused on the materials research and development of commercially sound technology and applications for energy related oxide materials with superior properties. Our interest includes materials and architectures for the high-Tc wires of the second generation (2G HTS) and their applications in variety of practical devices to aid sustainable development of human society and to meet the growing need for safer, cleaner and more reliable energy supply.

In late years we are working on not only the sale of 2G HTS wire but also the development of the practical use apparatuses. For example, development of the electrical propulsion airplane which NEDO project, this aims at the effective flight with a superconductivity electric motor as a substitute for one of a jet engine. We participate in this project.

We delivered 30km superconducting wire which is developed cooperation with SuperOx(Russia) with us, to use it for the Superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) to the substation in Moscow.

I perform optimization of the new structure and composition of the superconducting wire and want to realize the mass production of the long wire rod which is higher-performance, and is low-cost by improving process of manufacture more. Future aim at the supply of 1,000km - 10,000km a year. Our wire rod has a uniform electric characteristic by full length and sale by the arbitrary length to various demand.

We open a new production base to cope with a further request. I introduce new facilities there and am going to expand ability for production of 100km a year (12mm width) to 4-5 times now.

I will widen the employment to an engineer of electric connection, the machine connection engineer in the future and will perform the technology development of the applied product of the superconducting wire.

The superconductivity technology is eco-friendly and can enable clean energy supply in Eco. We repeat efforts more and want to contribute for the sustainable future.

CTO Greeting Valery Petrykin

SuperOx Japan was established as the R&D company, and it has long track record
of intensive research activities,
which have built the foundation for the company success story. Today one
third of SOJ staff members are
scientists with doctoral degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and
Electronics who ensure continuous
products development and innovations.

Currently our company offers to the customers two lines of HTS wires
products i) for liquid nitrogen applications
and ii) for the applications in the high magnetic field, which are
manufactured on the variety of substrates with
different thickness  ranging from 30 to 100 um

In addition to that, we are ready to provide customized more
challenging solutions and products using advantage of
our long experience in the HTS wires production and excellence of our
research and production teams.
